Payment terms

Your booking is only valid on payment of a deposit of €100 (for stays of more than 7 days) or €50 (for stays of up to 7 days) within 14 days after our confirmation. The outstanding sum is to be paid on-site on arrival.

Arrival and Departure

The booked pitch will be available on the day of arrival from 3 p.m., unless released in advance by the front desk. Check-out is on the day of departure by 11 a.m., at the latest. Later departure can be arranged on request at the front desk and upon payment of a fee.

Cancelation, delayed arrival or early departure

If the booking is cancelled by the visitor before the agreed day of arrival, the down payment will be forfeited.

Should your arrival be delayed, please advise us immediately, otherwise the booking of the relevant pitch will only be kept until 11 a.m. on the following day . In the case of early departure from a booked pitch, the pitch fees shall be binding.

We reserve the right to adapt prices and offers at any moment as a consequence of modified tax rates, inflation for other similar reasons.

Since 2022, we do not offer any discounts to members of ADAC/ACSI or any other organisations as, during low season, we offer our own attractive discounts (see price list).

The prices are based on the following factors: holiday season, pitch size, number of vehicles/tents, number of adults, number of children, number of dogs, number of additional cars/boats and the spa tax, which is payable by over-18s. To give an accurate quote in advance, we need all this information. Once you arrive, we will confirm the exact details.

You pay the rest of the fee here, on site, at the front desk in cash, by Maestro card or another credit card. We accept all cards, except Amex. You can pay on arrival or during your stay and, if possible, at least one day before departure.

Please give the name of the person in whose name the booking was made, the pitch number and the period of your stay. In this way, we know exactly who has made the payment.

Please pay the deposit of €50 / €100 within 14 days of making the booking (minimum 3 days before arrival).

From January onwards, you can book for the following year. That means that from January 2023 on you can book for all of 2024. If you have a preferred pitch, we strongly recommend early booking. To do so, you can use our booking form on www.camping-miramar.de/#buchung.

If your arrival is later than 10 p.m., please stay in the registration lane and register at the front desk on the following day between 09:00 and 11:00 a.m.

What is the latest I can arrive?2022-08-30T16:50:57+02:00

The front desk is open for arrivals every day until 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., we have a stand-by service until 10 p.m. You can find the telephone number of our staff member on the registration office door. Just call the number once you have arrived. You will then be accompanied to your pitch. Please register on the following day personally between 09:00 and 11:00 a.m. at the front desk to receive your visitor tax ticket and make your payment, if necessary.

Arrival is guaranteed from 3 p.m. onwards. Normally and under normal weather conditions, our pitches are prepared for occupation from 12:00 a.m. onwards, but you should be aware that it is possible you will have to wait if you arrive before 3 p.m. We try to ensure that checkout at the front desk takes place as quickly as possible, but not before around 11:30 a.m.

Can I install an awning on the 25 camper pitches?2022-08-30T16:53:28+02:00

No, awnings cannot be installed. With authorisation from the front desk, a sunshade may be opened.

Do you have camper pitches in front of the barrier and can we book them?2022-08-30T16:53:18+02:00

Behind the manually operated barrier, we have 25 camper pitches that cannot be booked in advance, but you can contact us on the day of arrival while you're on the move. If a suitable pitch is available, we will reserve it for you so you can arrive without rushing.

During the high season, a Citizen Bus stops three times a day directly outside our premises. Ask the front desk for the timetable.

Depending on the weather and the time of the year, we have an animation programme. You can find the relevant announcements on the notice boards beside the registration office, at the washhouses and on Facebook and Instagram.

In the case of any noise or nuisance at night, the telephone number of the security staff on duty can be found on the door of the registration office.

During the day, from 1 p.m.to 3 p.m., all visitors are asked to avoid unnecessary movements of cars on the site. Night rest begins at 11 p.m. and ends at 7 a.m. During this period, the barrier is closed and no music is allowed. In the case of emergencies, our security personnel have a key to open the barrier.

Behind the registration lane, just opposite the front desk, we have a waste disposal site with containers for: non-recyclable waste, recyclables (yellow bag), paper and cardboard and a container for glass. There is also a small bin to dispose of ashes after a barbecue.

We have an on-site restaurant called “Globetrotter”. Booking is recommended, especially in the high season. Telephone bookings can be made on 04371/6568.

Do you have a self-service shop and is it necessary to order bread in advance?2022-08-30T16:48:19+02:00

Behind the registration office, you can find a self-service shop and cafeteria. In the morning, bread is sold with no need for a prior order.

Electric, gas and charcoal barbecues are allowed, but not open fires. There is a metallic bin for the disposal of barbecue ash at our waste station.

Since Fehmarn Island does not have fibre-optic coverage, we can offer WIFI access using a directional radio connection provided by the company, Snellstar. You can test access for 15 minutes and then buy access at the front desk. The price is based on connection time.

Is it possible to book a pitch on the tent meadow or the surfer meadow?2022-08-30T16:49:12+02:00

Both areas are intended for groups, the surfer meadow for clients who have booked a surfing or kite course with Kitemonkeys. Otherwise, there is no possibility of booking in these areas. Only the normal pitches can be reserved. Bikers with tents cannot book and must find a place in the tent meadow.

As well as our vehicle, can we also erect a tent on the pitch?2022-08-30T16:49:21+02:00

Additional tents must not be more then 2 x 2 m. Other structures are not allowed due to fire regulations. On larger pitches, the erection of a larger additional tent may depend on the size, but it must be authorised by the front desk/groundstaff and notified during the booking process.

What are the restrictions on how I install my vehicle or tent?2022-08-30T16:49:33+02:00

Campsites in Schleswig-Holstein are subject to legal rules (campsite regulations and fire regulations) which stipulate that there has to be a minimum distance of 3 m between sleeping places for fire protection purposes. Cars that are not used for sleeping are excluded. There are rules governing how you should install yourself on the pitch. On approximately 50% of our pitches, caravans/campers are positioned at a right angle to the relevant road. Awnings or sunshades are thus facing eastwards, offering at the same time certain protection against wind. On all other pitches caravans/campers stay lengthways (i.e., parallel) to the road. In these cases, awnings or sun blinds are facing towards the beach.

Subject to availability, you can buy an adapter at the front desk for €15. Otherwise, you can also get one at the self-service shop.

All pitches for tourists are equipped with electricity (16A), water supply and waste water drainage with 50 mm diameter pipes. There is no waste water drainage on the 25 camper pitches.

In the big washhouse, by the beach, and in the washhouse near the Globetrotter Restaurant, there are washing machines and dryers that can be used with tokens (costing €4 or €5) or by means of: www.appwash.com.

At the big washhouse, by the beach, on the left-hand side, there is an outdoor rinsing area where you can clean fish. Please leave this area (and all others) in the same state that you found it in, so as not to attract vermin.

At the big washhouse, by the beach, there is a kitchen where you can prepare food at no additional cost.

In the washhouse near the Globetrotter Restaurant, there is a combined toilet and shower room suitable for disabled users. In the big washhouse there is a toilet and a separate shower suitable for disabled users, both accessible with a Euro-key. Should you not have one yourself, we can provide one, subject to availability at the front desk against a deposit of €50.

We have three washhouses: one near the Globetrotter Restaurant, a big washhouse and a smaller washhouse close to the beach.

At the big washhouse, down beside the beach, on the outside on the right, there is a dog shower.

On our site, dogs are allowed on all pitches. On request and subject to availability, we shall be pleased to book you a pitch close to the dog beach. It is important to keep dogs on a lead (a legal requirement of the Schleswig Holstein state!). The only area that our four-legged friends cannot access is the beach of our marked swimming zone.

How can I find out if and for which vehicles the bridge is closed?2022-09-12T10:38:05+02:00

As a rule, the bridge is closed only when the wind reaches a strength of approximately 7 on the Beaufort scale, and only for articulated vehicles and empty lorries. Information is available every 30 minutes on the local news and on the website https://strassen-sh.de/ or by phone on 04321 4998490.

Late departure is only possible if you extend your booking, at your expense, for another full night (with all costs). In this case, departure can take place the previous day until 11 p.m. or on the new official day of departure from 07:00 a.m. until, at the latest, 11:00 a.m.
